42freeway.com - May 3, 2025 - The Atlantic City Expressway installed the first overhead digital toll reader gantry, as part of plans to move to an all-electronic cashless toll system which has a new starting timeframe of the Fourth Quarter 2025.

Originally expected to start in May of 2025, the new date places the start of the cashless system after the busy summertime Jersey Shore season, and provides additional time for contractors to complete the installation of 11 overhead gantry systems. Read more >>

  • N.Y. officials ask federal judge to block feds from ending $9 congestion pricing toll

    NJ.com - May 11, 2025 - Lawyers from New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) asked a federal judge to prohibit the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) from executing an ultimatum to halt federal money unless the agency kills the $9 congestion pricing toll to enter lower Manhattan.

    Attorneys for the MTA filed a motion May 5 that would bar the federal DOT from acting until a lawsuit about the matter is heard in court. Read more >>
