  • Delaware Memorial Bridge implementing cash toll rate increase April 1

    WDEL.com - March 4, 2025 - The Delaware Memorial Bridge's cash toll rate will be increasing April 1 by $1 for passenger vehicles and $1 per axle for commercial vehicles.

    While many bridges are already no longer taking cash, strictly using EZ Pass, the Delaware Memorial Bridge still allows cash to be collected.

    EZ Pass users only have to pay $4.75 when driving SUVs, vans, motorcycles, pickups and similar vehicles, while cash payers will pay $6. Read more >>

  • Bay City Bridge Partners suspend toll increase

    Radio.wcmu.org - March 4, 2025 - Following public outcry and discussions with local officials, the operators of Bay City's two toll bridges suspended a plan that would have doubled the price for an unlimited pass for non-residents to drive over the Liberty and Independence bridges.

    The Bay City Bridge Partners are a private company who operate tolls on the Liberty and Independence Bridges. Bay City residents are eligible for a transponder that exempts them from paying the bridge tolls until 2028. Read more >>

  • West Virginia delays $10 toll fee after ‘issues’ with new system

    Wboy.com - February 28, 2025 - The West Virginia Parkway Authority said Friday that it is taking “immediate actions” to address issues from its recently upgraded toll system.

    The new system, which was installed and maintained by TransCore, replaced an outdated system and added new payment options such as credit card and pay-by-plate. However, the release said that problems have been reported with the new system, especially concerning tolls and fees. Read more >>

  • Drivers may pay more — or less — when I-4 express moves to dynamic tolling

    mynews.com - February 24, 2025 - On Monday morning, commuters will find out they will be paying more for the tolls on the I-4 Express Lanes as part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s transition to “dynamic tolling” which will adjust the cost of tolls based on traffic conditions on the express lanes.

    The rate for I-4 Express could be as low as 50 cents per segment, depending on your destination.

    Dynamic tolling will adjust the cost of using the express lanes throughout the day as needed, by travel segment. As more people enter a segment, the toll amount will increase. If fewer vehicles are detected, the toll amount will decrease. Read more >>
