  • PA Turnpike Ready to Kickoff Summer Travel Season with Busy Memorial Day Weekend

    PATurnpike.com - May 19, 2025 - The Pennsylvania Turnpike (PA Turnpike) is gearing up for a busy Memorial Day weekend and the start of the summer travel season.

  • N.Y. officials ask federal judge to block feds from ending $9 congestion pricing toll

    NJ.com - May 11, 2025 - Lawyers from New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) asked a federal judge to prohibit the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) from executing an ultimatum to halt federal money unless the agency kills the $9 congestion pricing toll to enter lower Manhattan.

    Attorneys for the MTA filed a motion May 5 that would bar the federal DOT from acting until a lawsuit about the matter is heard in court. Read more >>

  • AC Expressway All-Electronic Tolls Moved To 4th Quarter 2025. First Gantry Installed

    42freeway.com - May 3, 2025 - The Atlantic City Expressway installed the first overhead digital toll reader gantry, as part of plans to move to an all-electronic cashless toll system which has a new starting timeframe of the Fourth Quarter 2025.

    Originally expected to start in May of 2025, the new date places the start of the cashless system after the busy summertime Jersey Shore season, and provides additional time for contractors to complete the installation of 11 overhead gantry systems. Read more >>

  • New Hampshire begins toll conversion project on Everett Turnpike

    Vnews.com - April 29, 2025 - The new AET facility will allow for a continuous stream of vehicles at highway speeds, capturing the fee from an overhead gantry system.

    The first of the project is expected to be completed by June 15 while the entire project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2027.

    Weather permitting, construction crews will be working between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. and will require the use of lane closures. They will begin constructing temporary widenings on the northbound and southbound sides, just north of the existing toll booth. Read more >>

  • TI Bridge Authority: Bridge crossings, revenue are down from last year

    wwnytv.com - April 24, 2025 - Fewer passengers are crossing the Thousand Islands Bridge, and it’s affecting revenue collected from tolls.

    From January to March, crossings are down 26%. That amounts to $105 thousand in lost revenue in quarter one when compared to last year.

    It could be because of U.S.-Canadian relations.
